Hey everyone, I’m Kristin!
Not only am I a baker, I’m also a high school teacher! I teach Culinary Arts and Hospitality in Austin, TX. Before then, I taught all sorts of foods/baking related classes in San Antonio for six years. I graduated from Texas State University in 2011 and since then I’ve been lucky enough to spend three summers at Johnson and Wales in their Culinary and Baking programs.
I grew up in a house that always had freshly baked cookies, cakes, and desserts. My mom was always baking recipes passed down from her mom and grandma. I guess you could say baking is in our genes!
Now I know what you’re thinking, where in the world did the name MokiCake come from? Well, you guessed it, the name derives from my sweet dachshund, Moki! Don’t let the name fool you, I make all sorts of cakes…not just those that are dog friendly!
